Administrative Assistant

We are looking for an individual with excellent communication and organizational skills to assist our professional staff in performing accounting and tax related services to our clients.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Data entry of financial information such as checks, invoices, hours worked, payroll deductions, and journal entries.  Verify the accuracy and correct any errors found.

  • Process and print accounting reports and tax returns.

  • Assemble personal and business tax returns for delivery by mail, carrier or electronically.

  • E-file tax extensions and tax returns.​

  • Print, process and mail client tax organizers.

  • Organize and scan client documents.

​

Secondary responsibilities include:

  • Assist with front desk activities, including greeting visitors, answering phone calls, obtaining client signatures on tax documents, and directing inquiries.

  • Assist with appointment scheduling.

  • Perform general clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, scanning, and mailing.

​

Candidates must have:

  • 2-year accounting or business-related degree or equivalent experience

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Skills to organize and prioritize tasks in a time sensitive environment 

​

Proficiency using CCH Axcess Tax, Accounting CS, and Microsoft Office software is preferred but not required.
